BJWT Rehabilitation Program
Rehabilitation is a key phase for all of our kids. As soon as a new Animal arrives to the Foundation, we will conduct a full evaluation of them. We note any serious injuries, skin infections, fractures, pregnancies, or other major complications.
We Currently Have 2 Stages
BJWT currently has 2 stages that are used every time we receive a new rescue. We have plans for another stage in the future.

STAGE 3
Stage 1:
Stage 1 is the nursery or place for 24/7 care. At this stage, all of the Animals are cared for in a smaller setting and monitored around the clock. This stage is primarily for any young cubs, new babies, injured adults, or Animals that require specialized supervision. We provide human interaction with feedings every few hours, and the attention that is needed for them to become used to human contact. This state also is a good time for ample contact with their siblings and other fellow Animals.
Stage 2 + 2B
Stage 2 and 2b are our other phases at the Foundation. This is where the Animals need less specialized care and can thrive in our spacious outdoor habitats among their Prides. They are the happiest when they form relationships and live together in groups.
BJWT Outdoor Habitats
We currently have over 70 outdoor habitats built for our kids. Inside each habitat is a custom swimming pool, play area, and enough open space to allow all the Animals to run freely and safely. We try to make each one of our habitats feel as natural as possible. Keeping in mind that all of the kids have only experienced captivity up until now.
